Mechatronics Developer for Multi-Tower Robot

At Blue Ocean Robotics we create and commercialise robots. We apply robot technology to create solutions and innovation for end-users and new businesses in partnerships. We have created together with leading hospitals a patient lifting robot concept, that needs to be realised during the next years. The capital for this realisation has been secured and a company has been created to build and commercialise this robotic solution into a large and growing market.

 

As a new mechatronics developer on our Multi-Tower Robot project you will refer to the CTO of the Multi-Tower Company, and your primary task is to create the software and hardware and  turn customer-specific requirements into the next big robotic product.

You will be employed by the Multi-Tower company directly.

Your profile
The ideal candidate has great work experience in working as an mechanical developer from concept to realization of a robot solution. In addition we expect you to bring some of the following experience and characteristics:

 

Requirements:

  • CAD design in Autodesk Inventor.

  • Understands customer requirements, regulatory specifications, processes, statistics, process capabilities, cost to design a product with margin to the specifications, and manufacturing with high yields.

  • Research, design, and development of products for manufacture.

  • Integrates electrical & mechanical components / systems into overall product design.

  • Operate with a high level of autonomy whilst interacting effectively with, and seeking input from team members and other areas of the business including manufacturing, quality, operations, procurement and supplier alliance to ensure the products being developed are appropriate and satisfy all necessary requirements.

  • Testing, verification and validation of designed products to ensure they meet the necessary requirements and specifications under anticipated usage scenarios and operating conditions.

  • Writes technical proposals and specifications of varying complexity to communicate proposed designs and component specifications.

  • Fast learner and open minded

  • Experience with real robot systems

Nice to have:

  • Fluent in C/C++ and Python

  • Alround executor in robotics and software

  • Experience with ROS

  • Know-how in Linux drivers development

  • SCRUM

Robotics Developer for Multi-Tower Robot

Blue Ocean Robotics, where we are in the process of building and designing a range of robots ranging from UAV solutions to moving cobot systems, and we are missing the link between our software development team and the practical aspect of construction of robotics. You will be a main part of the Product Development team, where you will be in a cross functional - matrix - environment. On one axis managing a project from concept to realization on a specific robotic solution - on the other axis to make your solid and broad skills available on a number of concurrent projects going to market.

Robotics Developer – Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR)

As a Robotics Developer – Autonomous mobile robots, you will be a main part of the Product Development team with responsibility for a large range of our product portfolio of moving robots, where we need to develop and expand that into more customized solutions for our product. A person that has both a strong theoretical and practical experience with autonomous mobile robots and can set the direction for our development the next five years. Responsibilities:

Requirements (Need to have):

Responsibilities

 

This role includes researching manufacturing methods, new technologies and applications in manufacturing and automation. Furthermore, work tasks could include: mapping production process, idea generation, conceptualisation, data collection, technical documentation, technical designing, technology provider search, technology ecosystem mapping, participate in manufacturing company visits, etc.

 

This program requires flexibility, innovative approaches and determination. Depending on the assignment, the program may be combined with an In-Company Period, PRO-course or Bachelor/Master thesis. The exact objective can be defined based on your background and interests.

 

Qualification

 

You are a university Master/Bachelor student. Your field of study is industrial engineering, business administration with technical understanding, automation technology, process engineering with focus on business administration or other scientific study which allow a broad understanding of both technical and economic problems.
