With more than 28 years of experience building and managing large international high-growth technology sales organisations, Henrik Andersen is ready to lead the way to further success for the product family within Blue Ocean Robotics, Odense as the new Group Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). He expects to double up earnings yearly in many years going forward.
The market of service robotics is expected to grow with more than 25 % each year, and technological development has made service robots more appealing to use as an integral part of work and private life. A development fueling the motivation of Henrik Andersen. Throughout his entire career he has had a focus on entering new markets and increasing sales volume for health technologies. Prior to joining Blue Ocean Robotics Henrik Andersen has had leadership roles at Vision RT, William Demant, Stereotaxis, Unomedical (former Maersk Medical), and Covidien among others.
Henrik Andersen has a profound insight in what it is like to be a sales representative. “I have been the sales guy knocking on each door, so I have a deep understanding of what sales teams need from their senior management”. Another critical component to getting international success is the down to earth approach which he possesses. “My outgoing way of creating international business happens with my simple and straightforward approach”.
Henrik Andersen joined Blue Ocean Robotics primo February 2021 in a newly created position as the CCO. Within the end of 2021 he expects the sales of service robots from the Danish manufacturer has more than doubled.
“Selling safety is not just important right now. It is a continuous need, especially among those industries dependent on having many people gathered in one place. A need we can meet with our disinfection robots from UVD Robots, just as our telepresence robots from GoBe Robots and the patient handling robot from PTR Robots also addresses very important needs,” says Henrik Andersen.
“Alignment and streamlining processes with the customer in the center of the new commercial setup. This is a focus Henriks’ new colleagues, partners and customers will experience. Our customer service will be optimized by monitoring all robots in real-time to ensure constant operability and a value for the customer”, says Claus Risager, CEO of Blue Ocean Robotics, and adds “We are excited to have Henrik onboard, where especially his skills in developing a strong global sales team in tight alignment with the rest of the organisation will have a tremendous impact for Blue Ocean Robotics”.
With his extensive international network, Henrik Andersen is ready to contribute to the high demand Blue Ocean Robotics is experiencing. “Denmark is known on the global market for being a country with a high integrity and sense of quality, as we do not cut corners. Essential values enabling the success of the Danish robot industry. For instance, we see a high demand from hotels, the retail sector, cruise yards, schools and hospitals, so we expect to increase our production capacity to match this demand.” says Henrik Andersen.
Henrik Andersen is originally from the little town of Hornslet close to Aarhus, Denmark where he lives with his wife and family of two grown up sons and an australian silky terrier. In his free time he enjoys burning calories, but equally much preparing them for his family. On top of this, Henrik enjoys running, fitness, and crossfit, but also enjoys a cozy night in with good company and food.
